Beschreibung

History

The church is already mentioned in the Carolingian Imperial Guturbar of about 840 with tithe rights in the possession of the royal monastery Pfäfers, and it also appears later in the toboggans of this monastery. In 1440 you can also experience the Patrozinium St. Georg for the first time. There are no more parts from early medieval holdings, from Romanesque the tower. In 1493, at least the vaulted choir, perhaps also the nave, was rebuilt. A protocol from 1643 reports that the ship bore a flat wooden ceiling. In the choir stood a Gothic shrine altar, of which only two figures remain. In 1900 the nave was laid down and a new church with a west-facing choir was built. The late Gothic chancel remained as a vestibule.
