Kapelle St. Maria zum Schnee, Zarcuns

Architectural history: According to the inscription, the chapel was built according to a vision of Our Lady given to John of Giuf on 8 January 1622 in this place. Consecration on 13 June 1630 with an altar in honour of Mary, Magdalene and Martha. The existing chapel, however, seems to go back to a new building consecrated on 8 July 1672 in honour of St. Mary to the Snow. Indulgences were granted to her in 1750 and 1755. specifications: Southeast-facing chapel with three-sided closed, retracted choir, barrel vault with stitch caps. The ship is divided into two parts by a belt. Continuous cornice. Stitch-arched windows. The entrance is on the northwest front. Murals: The vaulted zone is decorated with artisanal shields. equipment: The high altar is a structure consisting of two pairs of winding, slanted columns and a curly, openwork gable. In the niche modern figure. The side altars are similar to the high altar, 1679.  In the choir a small carved processional figure.
