Chapel Surselva
Kapelle St. Josef Darvella, Trun
Beschreibung
History: Chapel was built in 1676 and occasionally consecrated an episcopal visitation trip on June 24, 1683 in honor of St. Joseph.
Building description
Picturesque, small, northwest-facing chapel with weakly retracted, three-sided closed choir. Barrel vaults and stitched windows. In the gable the date 1676. Gable roof with turrets under a curly dome. In front of the western front a timbered, open porch.
Murals
On the choir vault between flower tendrils, medallion-shaped picture fields with Mary's marriage, the death of Joseph and Mary's coronation. At the ship's vault the Last Judgment, God the Father with angel choir, St. Michael.
Altar: Made of wood, flanked by two columns with hangings and crowned by a Roman-Corinthian cornice. The altarpiece depicts the Holy Family and is a rather faithful replica of the image of Jn. Rudolf Sturn (1653) at the rosary altar of Chur Cathedral.
Bells
by Anton Grasmayr, Feldkirch, 1867.
