Islatal Seewis cross-country ski trail

After a short descent towards Motschna and a slight ascent along the Islabach and the winter hiking trail to Malfüa and Lischgaz you reach the beautiful Islaried after the warm-up round. After a short and steep ascent at Valbraga, it goes to the circular loop on the plateau to the lake. 

The Kurverein Seewis provides a heated changing room and toilets in the Wimmisana car park at the Schützenhaus. With a voluntary contribution to the cross-country ski trail fund, you support the cross-country skiing work in Seewis: CHF 5 per day (cash desk in container) or CHF 30 for the whole season (transfer to Raiffeisenbank Prättigau-Davos (70-6222-0) denominated in Kur- und Verkehrsverein Seewis, 7212 Seewis Dorf – IBAN CH98 8108 4000 0080 4000 2) with name and address. Dogs that do not disturb or hinder other cross-country skiers, do not run in the lane and do not set unsightly markings (where they do, professional disposal is required) are allowed on the trail.

On the plateau to the lake, technically easy laps can be made in the winter sun. Depending on the weather and lighting, the Islaried offers a unique and almost mystical atmosphere. Refreshments in the village are offered by the restaurant Schlössli in the Hotel Scesaplana (with sun terrace), Dorfbeiz Chesa, Hofbeizli Runggalina (with sun terrace) and the restaurant Kurhaus (with sun terrace).
