The Jakobshorn is the well-known local mountain of Davos. A Mecca for winter sports enthusiasts in winter, the mountain offers a unique trail system for trail runners, bikers and hikers in summer. The Hausberg Home Run is ideal for altitude training.

Trail runners start from the Jakobshorn car park or at the Davos sports centre. From Mattastrasse, after restaurant Hänggis, turn left up a small path into the Mattawald. Running to the left, follow the slightly ascending trail over 6 km into the Dischmatal. Idyllically, the trail winds further and further into the romantic valley. Past rushing streams and small alpine huts. A perfect start before it goes from Teufi to the ascent.
Over a little more than 5 km, you will reach the highest point of the route, the Jakobshorn at 2,569 m above sea level.M over the Stillbergalp. From there you can enjoy a beautiful view of Davos and the surrounding area. To enjoy them, a stopover at the Sun Peak restaurant invites you.
From here you can take the Jakobshornbahn back to Davos Platz. In this way, you can actively train uphill without accepting arduous descents. Alternatively, you can take the sloping trail back to Davos. The trail follows the degree via Brämabüel to the Ischalp, where there is another descent possibility or you continue on the trail over the Mattawald back to Davos.
