Details

Beschreibung

Already visible from the valley floor, Hohbüel towers proudly above the wide expanses of Alp Selva and thus characterises the townscape. As the foremost peak of an independent mountain range in the rear Vals valley, its central location and moderate altitude make it a constantly attractive vantage point.

Geheimtipp

After successfully climbing the summit, an additional highlight is a short detour to the nearby Selva Lake.

Sicherheitshinweis

Requirements: For good mountain hikers technically easy tour (T3), which requires caution in wet, cold and snow in the summit area.

.

You must expect mother cows on this hike.

Wegbeschreibung

From Valé either directly and steeply via Balma or somewhat more leisurely on the conventional hiking trail (old Zerfreilaweg) up to Inder Bord (1472 m, 30 min.). Continue uphill through the Marcheggawald forest to Heinisch Stafel above the timberline (2041 m, 1 hr. 15 min.). From there for 45 min on the hiking trail towards Selvasee until Hohbüel comes into view.

Finally, hike for another 45 min. pathless over easy terrain directly towards Hohbüel and pleasantly ascend via the northeast ridge to the summit with a magnificent view of the surrounding Vals mountains.

On the way back (2 hours), branch off at Heinisch Stafel and hike into the valley to Inder Peil. Take the hiking bus back to Vals.
