Beschreibung

If you want to try your hand at trail running for the first time on the Bad Ragaz side of the Pizol, this trail is particularly suitable for you. Apart from the relatively short but steep entry, the trail runs in very moderate terrain. On the way, it is worth stopping or at least taking an attentive look at the Sunntigweid reservoir and the Schwarzbüel viewpoint. Here, fantastic panoramas of the valley and the surrounding mountains beckon.

At Pizol, trail running workshops take place on various dates. Accompanied by certified running guides and professional athletes.

Sicherheitshinweis

The trail is without major technical difficulties, but especially in damp weather beginners should be on the trail with the necessary attention.

Ausrüstung

Normal trail running equipment (trail shoes recommended everywhere). Take enough food and drink with you (self-catering principle). Maps and natel with good reception.

Wegbeschreibung

With the gondola lift we float from Bad Ragaz to Pardiel. There we walk along the forest path along the beautiful Edelweiss boards until we reach the mountain station of the chairlift "Schwamm" (pure winter operation). Now we have already passed the strenuous altitude meters and we follow the path to the Suntigweidsee. Here the beach chairs invite you to linger or we walk past the lake and then on the hiking trail to the next fork in the road (wooden signpost). Here we take the trail to the right towards the valley and then towards the Schwarzbühl viewpoint. The view towards Churfirsten, Rhine Valley and Bündner Herrschaft is overwhelming. Now we walk on the trail back towards Pardiel. On the way we will certainly meet one or the other geiss. In Pardiel we take the gondola back to the valley.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

By train to Bad Ragaz, then by bus to the valley station Pizol Bad Ragaz.

Motorway exit Bad Ragaz, then on the main road towards Pizol Bad Ragaz.

Public parking is available at the Bad Ragaz valley station.
