GS - St. Gotthard Sedrun

After a comfortable ascent with the cable car to Caischavedra we get ready for a varied descent to Sedrun. On the Senda Pauli, up to the viewpoint Plaun Grond (Bostg) special consideration is required, because there are numerous migratory birds on the way.  The tree-free summit of the Bostg is ideal for a break and we enjoy a wonderful view of the mountain range of the Piz Medel with its glaciers. Over the Mises dil Bostg we roll into the Val Bugnei. Here, the storm Vivian caused a lot of damage twenty years ago, but the young forest is now more species-rich than ever before. Birdsong accompanies us. Coming out of the Val Bugnei, we see on the left below us the railway viaduct of Bugnei, which can be seen again and again in various brochures because of its beautiful architecture. And already we reach Sedrun, from where we pedal on further bike routes or on the cantonal road back to Disentis
