Beschreibung

As the fourth largest glacier in the Adula Alps, the Läntag Glacier is reflected in all its alpine diversity. Finger-wide crevices, glacier tables, meandering meltwater streams and a steep ice front in the upper part of the glacier.

Geheimtipp

Overnight in the Länta Hut SAC, and then relax and enjoy the excellent dinner. The next morning, walk the glacier path early. Registration Länta Hütte SAC required.

Sicherheitshinweis

Difficulty T4, marking white-blue-white. Caution: Entering the ice is not recommended, there may be cavities, crevices and meltwater streams under the ice. Please keep away from the steep side moraines and the rock upsurge to the upper part of the glacier for safety reasons. Stone and ice strike!

Attention: The glacier trail starts at the Länta Hut SAC. From Zerfreila to Länta Hut you need about 3 hours walking time. Tour that starts at the Länta Hut SAC. The path leads as a round trip on both sides of the Vals Rhine to the immediate edge of the ice. The path leads from the initially alpine meadow terrain through stony moraines to the ice edge of the Länta Glacier. On the other side of the stream back to the Länta Hut SAC.
