Beschreibung

From the mountain house Arflina the route leads up in a northwesterly direction and passes a hollow at Caua. Maintaining the direction, you climb east from point 2153 (small lake) over the broad southeastern ridge of the Glattwang up into the upper hollow below the summit slope. The last part leads over the south ridge to the summit Glattwang (2376 m above sea level).  Descent along the ascent route and in appropriate conditions over the Alp Nova down to Fideris.

attention! Below the Alp Nova Untersäss is the Wild rest zone Oberwald - the route runs through a narrow corridor. Thank you for respecting the nature!

Geheimtipp

Use the shuttle buses of the Fideriser Heuberge as an ascent aid. This gives you more time to enjoy the beautiful mountains of the Fideriser Heuberge.

Fideriser Heuberge, Berghaus Arflina (2000 m a.s..M l.) - Chopfstein - Caua - Südgrat - Glattwang (2376 m a.s..M.).

Departure: Glattwang - Alp Nova Obersäss - Untersäss - (narrow corridor through Wildruhezone Oberwald) - Valzigg - Versals (1309 m a.M.s.l.) - Plattis - forest road through the Rözenwald - Fideris (896 m above sea level.M.).

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

By train to Jenaz or Küblis (910 timetable field), PostBus to Fideris (90.221 Timetable field).

Anreise Information

Via the A13 and the A28 to Fideris.

Parken

Shortly after the entrance to the village, free parking is available on the sawmill area (bus station Fideriser Heuberge). It is not possible to park vehicles in the village square in winter.
