Giro del Lago

Lago di Poschiavo is a natural reservoir at 962 m above sea level, is about 2.5 km long and one kilometre wide in a north/south direction. The Poschiavino River is both an inflow and an outflow of the lake, which is up to a maximum depth of 80 m. On the west bank runs the route of the Rhaetian Railway, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The approximately seven-kilometre-long circular route around the lake can be completed in just under two hours. This is an easy and pleasant hike that is also suitable for children.

The walk starts in Le Prese. From there, walk on the right side of the lake towards Miralago along the railway track. After reaching Miralago, the hike continues on the left side of the lake, immersed in nature and in the shade of the forest until you reach Le Prese.

Lago di Poschiavo is home to the largest passenger ship in the canton of Graubünden. Since 2016, the "Sassalbo" has been in service and is available for private and corporate events.
