Beschreibung
There is plenty to admire for young and old on the approximately 4 km long high trail. Lined up like in an art gallery, you can marvel at, touch and experience fossils and weathering phenomena.
At more than 15 stations, visitors get an exciting insight into the formation of the Alps and the power of tectonics as well as general and interesting information on geology. The trail starts at the Maschgenkamm mountain station and circles the "Ziger". The second section of the trail, suitable for prams, leads from the Maschgenkamm in serpentines down to Maschgenlücke and from there on level ground to the Prodkamm mountain station.
Along the way "tectonic" loungers or benches invite you to enjoy the fantastic panoramic view (of the Churfirsten and Lake Walen, among others).There is also a rest area with a fireplace for a picnic or campfire on the way. A dreamlike place in the tectonic arena of Sardona, which has been awarded the title of World Natural Heritage Site for its visibility of alpine mountain formation.
Geheimtipp
The first meters of altitude can be comfortably covered with the BergJet gondola lift from Tannenboden to the Maschgenkamm. By means of a panoramic panoramic view, the trip to the summit is already a highlight.

Daily from Zurich with the S25 to Ziegelbrücke with change to the S4 to Unterterzen from St. Gallen with the S4 directly to Unterterzen from Zurich and Chur with the RE to Walenstadt with change to the bus 444 to Unterterzen
From Unterterzen, the 8-seater gondola lift takes you directly to the Flumserberg to the Tannenboden valley station. Then take the BergJet gondola lift to the panorama restaurant Maschgenkamm.
On arrival at the Prodkamm, you will return to Tannenheim with the 8-seater Prodkamm chairlift and the Prodalp Express. From there you can take the Postbus back to Tannenboden.
Arrival by train to Flums and Postbus to Flumserberg Tannenboden
Daily to Flums or Sargans, continue by bus 441 direction Flumserberg to the stop Tannenboden, cable car. Then take the gondola to the panorama restaurant Maschgenkamm.
On arrival at the Prodkamm, you will return to Tannenheim with the 8-seater Prodkamm chairlift and the Prodalp Express. From there you can take the Postbus back to Tannenboden.
Anreise Information
From Unterterzen (recommended): On the A3 motorway from Zurich or Chur to the Murg exit, then continue to Unterterzen to the valley station of the Unterterzen-Flumserberg cable car (LUFAG). From there, the 8-seater gondola lift takes you directly to the Flumserberg to the Tannenboden valley station. Then take the BergJet gondola lift to the panorama restaurant Maschgenkamm.
On arrival at the Prodkamm, you will return to Tannenheim with the 8-seater Prodkamm chairlift and the Prodalp Express. From there you can take the Postbus back to Tannenboden.
From Flumserberg: Take the A3 motorway from Zurich or Chur to the Flums exit, then via Bergstrasse to Flumserberg, Tannenboden. From there, the BergJet gondola lift will take you to the Maschgenkamm panoramic restaurant.
On arrival at the Prodkamm, you will return to Tannenheim with the 8-seater Prodkamm chairlift and the Prodalp Express. From there you can take the Postbus back to Tannenboden.
Parken
Public parking available at the Tannenboden.
Parking is available from 07.00 to 17.00. From 17.00 to 02.00 we are allowed to leave the car for free.
After 02.00 to 07.00 a.m. there is a night parking ban. There are plenty of night parking spaces in the Tannenboden multi-storey car park or in the Tannenheim.
The night car park can be used for a fee, but camping is prohibited.
