From Davos to Lenzerheide and back

Starting at Davos Sports Centre, the route heads along the Landwasserstrasse road through the lovely Frauenkirch and Glaris areas of Davos. After the Landwasser Tunnel comes a short, sharp ascent to Wiesen which opens up a breathtaking view across to the Tinzenhorn. Why not soak up the panoramic views with a short stop on the sun terrace of the Hotel Bellevue? The route continues gently downhill to Brienz where the climb to Lenzerheide starts, just short of 9 km away. The trail continues via Valbella around Lake Heidsee (1,484 metres a.s.l.) and down into Tiefencastel. From here, the route follows the road in the valley floor via Surava and Alvaneu Bad to Alvaneu Dorf and via Wiesen back to Davos Platz.

Be sure to factor in a short stop in the Hotel Bellevue – and not just to enjoy the magnificent view from the hotel’s sun terrace.
