Exploratour 02: Bruchstücke der Vergangenheit

In the so-called breccias, many angular fragments are embedded in fine sediments – like apple pieces in cake batter. The angular shape suggests that the debris was not transported by water. They probably originate from today's Piz Bardella and were smashed up when a trench formed in the continent 180 million years ago.
