E-Bike Vilterserberg

The leisurely tour leaves the spa town of Bad Ragaz and climbs past the Freudenberg castle ruins with a view of the Rhine and Seez valleys up to the Vilterserberg. After a short descent over hiking trails and tarred roads, it crosses Mels on the slope side and following the Seez and climbs the short ascent to Sargans Castle. The castle embodies two hundred years of county and more than three centuries of varied Vögt reign. The Count's Castle houses one of the most important local history museums in Europe and is a witness to the local history of Sarganserland. In addition, the castle offers wonderful views of the surrounding villages and the mountains.   After a short descent to the entrance of the Gonzen iron ore mine, where the Romans already mined iron ore, the tour crosses the Sarganser Au. Along the Rhine dam it goes to the Giessenpark Bad Ragaz and back to the starting point at the Tamina Therme Bad Ragaz.
