E-Bike & Hike - Sardonahütte SAC

Beschreibung
E-bike tour to Alp Sardona (60km, 6h)
From Bad Ragaz, take the traffic-free Valenserstrasse into the Tamina Valley. Ride past the milky blue Mapragg reservoir towards Vättis. The path branches off at Vättis. We take the path into the Calfeisen valley to Alp Sardona. We soon reach the gigantic Gigerwald dam. At the end of Lake Gigerwald is the Walser settlement of Sankt Martin. We recommend charging the battery of your e-bike at the Walsersiedlung Sankt Martin if necessary. This is the last charging point in the Calfeisen valley. The last stretch to Alp Sardona is easy to ride, although the valley becomes increasingly wild. The way back to Bad Ragaz runs via Pfäfers.
Hike to the Sardona Hut SAC (5.5 km, 2h 30 min)
As soon as the e-bikes are parked at Alp Sardona, the hike to the Sardona Hut can begin. The route leads up to the hut via "Hintere Melchi" and "Chäsböden". A fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the Calfeisen valley awaits. The way back follows the same route.

Ausrüstung
Normal bike equipment, hiking boots. Functional clothing is an advantage, as a long ascent is followed by an equally long descent. Bike lights recommended (due to tunnels).
Take a lock with you to lock your e-bike for the hike.
