Die Dutjer Alp. Ein einmaliger Aussichtspunkt.

A true insider that often only locals drive. Here you will find no smoothed trail highways, but enough challenging uphills and tricky single trails. Perfect for good bikers looking for a secluded bike tour.

From Ilanz you can roll in briefly before the first chain breaker is due. In Sevgein, however, the slopes become more moderate again - for a short time. Because below the beautifully situated village of Riein, the route leads uphill on a single trail. However, well-trained people master this challenge with flying colours. The following alpine road to the Alp da Riein climbs pleasantly regularly over 600 meters in altitude. However, the Dutjer Alp has to be earned hard again with a short pushing passage and often steep meadow trails.

Done: The Dutjer Alp at around 2000 meters above sea level is one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Surselva. The whole middle Surselva shows itself. On the opposite side, the Vorabgletscher, the Ringelspitz and even the city of Chur can be spotted.

The following single trail over about 400 meters of altitude difference is challenging. Partially washed out and wet. For technicians, however, a lot of fun. Short wellness is available on the scenic alpine road back to Riein and to the entrance to the crispest trail of the tour - the Crap da Sevgein. Quite easy to drive at the top, it becomes rocky in places further down and no longer drivable for everyone. But don't worry, just briefly, then it will be fluid again.

Now you could roll directly on the ascent route back to Ilanz. But we recommend a nice addition about Castrisch. Dirt roads and easy single trails form a wonderful end to the tour.

Geheimtipp

There is no charging station for e-bikes on this tour - except at the start in Ilanz.

Be sure to take food with you. The two restaurants are at the beginning or at the end of the tour: Restaurant Cauma in Sevgein and Ustria Mundaun in Castrisch. Ilanz offers plenty of refreshment and shopping facilities.

The area is very shady in winter. Therefore, there is snow long into spring. Often the tour is only passable from the middle or end of May.

Sicherheitshinweis

In case of uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar comes up during the tour, you should turn back in time.

Ausrüstung

MTB, helmet, gloves and possibly MTB. Knee pads, bike shoes, goggles, rain and sun protection, drinks, repair kit, first aid kit
