Beschreibung
The Dischma Valley is the middle of the three elongated, gently sloping high valleys that extend from the Davos plateau parallel to the southeast in the direction of the Engadine; the Flüela joins it to the northeast and the Sertig to the southwest. The valley floor lies between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The Dischma stream is fed by the glacier, is ice cold and crystal clear.
Interesting destinations are the Keschhütte, the Grialetschhütte and the Restaurant Teufi, which can also be reached quite comfortably by horse-drawn carriage. At the back of the valley lies Dürrboden with the mountain inn of the same name. In former times Dürrboden was an important station on the mule track that led from Montafon to Davos, over the Scalettapass into the Engadin and further to Italy. Today, the mountain inn offers fine delicacies as well as overnight accommodations and is worth a visit at any time.
