Beschreibung

A fire pit on the hiking trail and two fireplaces on Lake Panix (with grill, wood) invite you to picnic. The unusual historical monument on the dam wall commemorates the retreat of the Russian Field Marshal Suvorov, who lost many soldiers, horses and almost all war material with his troops in 1799 while fleeing from the French army while crossing the Panixer Pass in the snow.

Anreise Information

Take Route 19 and turn into the street "Sutvitg" towards Waltensburg. Then follow the main road to the old sawmill (vis à vis Casa Reviva) in the back of the village.
