Col d'Anzana

It has a landscape interest, given the beautiful panoramic view of the middle Valtellina and the Orobie, but also historical. The pass has always been an important communication route, for smugglers before and, during the Second World War, for the escape of numerous Jews, who expatriated from Italy to escape the arrest order issued by the Republic of Salò in December 1943.

From its top there are some very famous downhill mountain bike routes: the best known of these descends to the bottom of the Tirano valley, with a difference in height of 1800 meters.
