Col d'Anzana
The Col d'Anzana pass is the most feasible connection between the Rhaetian flank of the Valtellina and the Val del Saent and lies exactly on the border between Switzerland and Italy.

The pass offers an impressive panorama of the Valtellina and the Bergamo Alps. The pass was also historically significant: it was always an important communication route, first for the smugglers and during the Second World War for numerous Jews who fled Italy to escape persecution by fascism.
Some exciting mountain bike trails start from the pass, the most famous is probably the "Col d'Anzana" trail of the same name (No. 434 near Schweiz mobil), which leads to Tirano, 1,800 meters below.
