Cinema: "Greina" in Ilanz

In the 1970s, the high alpine landscape of Greina, which connects Graubünden with Ticino, became known throughout Switzerland. The artist Bryan Cyril Thurston campaigned for 20 years against the construction of a reservoir in this magnificent plateau. "Only poetry can save the Greina" was his maxim. The planned construction of the reservoir was also prevented thanks to his efforts. Today, his son, Patrick Thurston, dedicates a touching documentary to his father's art and the fight for landscape preservation. "Greina" convinces in its simplicity and poetic power.
