The Parish Church of SS Bernardo and Nicolao, built in the sixteenth century, is set in the village of Landarenca overlooking the right bank of the Calancasca stream.
Beschreibung
The church of Landarenca dedicated to Saints Bernard and Nicholas, was attested in 1529. During the course of time it has undergone several alterations, especially in the seventeenth century, where it was rebuilt on the pre-existing Romanesque hall. Today it appears as a simple construction with a rectangular choir vaulted in a cross and wooden ceiling in the nave. The church was restored in the period 1969-1974. Inside the building there are the main altar and the seventeenth-century side altars, made of polychrome stucco.
