The leisure and cultural center "La Cascata" arose in 1973 from an idea of a group of friends and supporters. They recognized the charm and history of the old building from the early 1900s and thus founded the co-operative "La Cascata".
Socializing and culture activity immediately became the two basic concepts of "La Cascata".The annual cultural program is very popular, offering classical music, theater, exhibitions and vari-ous conferences.

Bus line Bellinzona - San Bernardino: change in Grono, Bivio Calanca (direction Rossa) to Augio.
Highway A13 coming from Bellinzona or San Bernardino: exit Roveredo (GR), then head north, turning left just before Grono into Calancatal on a comfortable two-lane road (open year-round) until you reach Augio.
Calculate approximately half an hour by car from Bellinzona.
