In the night between 7 and 8 August 1978 a storm that affected the entire region caused the flooding of the river Moesa causing serious damage to the territory of Cebbia. A year after the flood that strongly affected the territory, only the bell tower of the church and some remains of the wall remain standing. In April 2006 the renovation works were completed which also restored the sundial painted on the bell tower that was already damaged in the 60s.
