Beschreibung
The Chapel of San Carlo al Sabbione is part of the sacred architecture that is wrongly described as insignificant, born from the faith and will of the people. On July 14, 2019, on the initiative of the RossArte Foundation, an artistic intervention was carried out on the exterior facades of three sacred buildings: the Chapel of San Carlo al Sabbione, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Blood and the Rosary and the Chapel of Santa Maria Maddalena al Calvario. A work by the Anglo-Swiss artist David Tremlett, characterized by the superimposition of shapes and colors on the built architecture. Two-dimensional drawings that, once applied to the walls, become real sculptures. The artist applies pastel-colored horizontal bands to this sacred building, crowned by a vermilion motif that serves as the base for vertical bands that reach up to the roof.
