In the fascinating scene portrayed on the main façade of the chapel, the Holy Family inhabits the Holy House, brought by angels from Nazareth to Loreto according to legend. Our Lady cradles Jesus while St. Joseph, a carpenter, works a log. A workbench with a vise and other small features in the painting reveal the artist's attention to detail.
