Buffalora - Jufplaun

The trail leads slightly uphill across the alpine meadows to Alp Buffalora and then a short steeper section up to Buffalora. From here it is only slightly up and down. The plateau offers magnificent panoramic views towards Jufplaun - Piz Daint and the national park. If the ancient Swiss stone pines here could tell you anything, they would have a lot to say. Particularly in the first weeks of July, the alpine flora here is marvellous with the scent of flowers in the air. Either visit the mining tunnels at Munt Buffalora or continue directly to the Jufplaun flat moor with its meandering Aua da Murtaröl. A view towards Alpe del Gallo - Livigno and on towards Mots from where the Val Mora presents itself. This is the turning point and you return to the starting point on the right-hand side of the valley.
