Beschreibung

The Bocchetta del Notar connects, at high altitude, the Cama valley, on the Swiss side, with the Val Bodengo, which leads to Gordona, on the Italian side. The itinerary is known as "Via dei Crotti" and offers opportunities for gourmet stops in the numerous typical mountain restaurants. Starting from the 1800s, the route was more or less continuously affected by the crossings of smugglers, the spalloni, during their border traffic between Italy and Switzerland.
