Bergün/Bravuogn

The Hotel Kurhaus is the most famous building in the village. It was built in 1904-06 and has an excellently preserved Art Nouveau interior. The showpiece is the large dining room, "the most beautiful hall in the Alps". The square or Roman tower, which today houses the municipal archive, was built in the 13th century as an official residence. In the 17th century, the building was converted into a bell tower. In the village there are several carefully renovated houses from the 16th and 17th centuries. Bergün/Bravuogn has been awarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland.
