Beschreibung

The Baslersch Chopf and the Sentisch Horn (2,827 m.a.s.l.) start off identically. Depending on the conditions and shape you can also choose the other summit. From the Tschuggen car park, the ascent begins along the pass road to the Wägerhus. Here you leave the road and go through a short steep slope to the big plain. Now continue uphill over the long plateau, keeping north-west and crossing the whole plain. Now it gets a little steeper. Via the Gulgerigen Furgga (2'571 m.a.s.l.) one reaches the summit of the Basler Chopf. The descent first follows the ascent route across the plain. Shortly before the Tällichopf (2'342 m.a.s.l.) one leaves the ascent route and can go down the slope directly to the pass road.

Geheimtipp

After the tour, the Gasthaus zum Tschuggen is an ideal place for reinforcements.

Sicherheitshinweis

Anyone who goes off-piste acts exclusively on their own responsibility and is outside the liability area of the cable cars. The yellow marked freeride slopes are secured but not groomed and not controlled. They can only be used when they are open. We recommend checking the open slopes, the SLF avalanche bulletin and the weather forecast. All liability is excluded.

Ausrüstung

We recommend the avalanche training centre before the start of a tour.

On the Jakobshorn near the Fuxägufer mountain station in Davos, the correct use of the avalanche transceiver (LVS) can be practised under realistic conditions. The training area consists of a 100 x 100m zone in moderately steep terrain, thus creating a realistic avalanche cone. Use of the training area is free of charge. You must bring your own avalanche transceiver and avalanche probe with you.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Take the Swiss Federal Railway (SBB) to Landquart, then change to the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) in the direction of Davos Platz. Get off at Davos Dorf.

Anreise Information

Coming from Zurich / St. Margrethen, leave the A13/E43 motorway at Landquart in the direction of Landquart, Davos, Vereina. Take the A28 to Davos Dorf and then continue on the Flüela Pass to Tschuggen.
