At the end of the 1970s, Wolfgang Hildesheimer and architect François Kaufmann designed a new studio near the Poschiavo river, which was to be his place of work from 1980.

"The project of our house-atelier is completed and in two weeks the works will begin. She will become enchanting, as the superintendent of cultural heritage likes to say: a prima donna. However, it will be quite expensive, but in exchange it is a real 'property', a house in which you could also live. Thanks to the different inclinations of the roof, an 18 square meter room was also created, a beautiful bedroom."
