Atelier André Piot

André Paul Piot was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1958. After studying law, he began his career as a manager and entrepreneur in Italy at a young age. During his numerous trips to Japan, he discovered the uniqueness of Japanese craftsmanship in ceramics, wood, lacquer, paper, and calligraphy. These journeys continue to be a daily source of his creative inspiration. Today, he lives in the Engadin and works in his studio in Sils. After many years of experimenting with many painting techniques and traditional media, he now devotes himself primarily to creating works with ink or with copper leaf application, silver, or gold on wood panels. He also polishes agate stones and processes graphic prints on paper.
