Surin is a hamlet of the municipality of Lumbrein and is located 20 minutes drive from Ilanz, a little away from the daily hustle and bustle on the left side of the valley in Val Lumnezia below Lumbrein. A lot of peace and fresh air are guaranteed here. The apartment is located on the right-hand side at the end of the village in the direction of Silgin and offers a beautiful view of the valley. Historically, Surin is highly interesting. About 300 m west of Surin lies Crestaulta, an important Bronze Age settlement site on a hilly plateau. In winter, the Vella valley station can be reached in about 15 minutes by car with the new chairlift system, which provides access to the large Obersaxen snow sports area. In summer and autumn, the hikes become an unforgettable experience, with interesting nature trails, past churches, many chapels or into the famous Greina plain.
Shopping facilities; in Lumbrein or Vrin, both reachable in 7 min. or in Vella in 15 min. by car.
Ilanz offers many shopping opportunities. The market on Saturdays is particularly recommended here.
