Leave everyday life behind on a hike into the heart of the Grisons mountains. Experience the tranquillity and spectacular high-mountain splendour on foot between the Flüela and Albula Passes. The SAC Grialetsch, Kesch and Es-cha Mountain Huts have combined to offer the Kesch trek as a single booking four-day mountain trail.

Stages:

Stage 1: Davos Dürrboden - Grialetsch Mountain Hut SAC

Stage 2: Grialetsch Mountain Hut SAC - Kesch Mountain Hut SAC

Stage 3: Kesch Mountain Hut SAC - Es-cha Mountain Hut SAC

Stage 4: Es-cha Mountain Hut SAC - Preda or Bergün

Sicherheitshinweis

The Kesch Trek is an alpine mountain hike. It is essential that you properly assess the possible dangers than could occur in the high mountains. These routes require a good level of fitness.

Ausrüstung

Sturdy walking boots, weatherproof and warm clothing, rain gear, food and drink for the hiking stages (packed lunches can also be obtained from the mountain hut), sufficient water, sun cream and head protection, first aid kit, maps and hiking sticks if required.

Wegbeschreibung

The Kesch trek is a mountain hike marked white-red-white. It makes use of the signposts for the existing hiking trails between the Flüela and Albula Pass.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel

Rhaetian Railway from Landquart to Davos. There are two access routes to the Grialetsch Mountain Hut SAC, both of which are easily accessible by public transport: From Davos Dorf railway station to Dürrboden in the Dischma Valley (climb from Dürrboden approx. 1.5 to 2 h), or from Davos Platz or Davos Dorf railway station to Flüelapass-Chantsura, approx. 1.5 km after the pass (climb from the pass road approx. 2 to 2.5 h).

Anreise Information

Drive to Davos Platz and then take public transport to the start of the hike.

Park free of charge at the Jakobshorn car park in Davos Platz.
