Alpengarten Maran

The 1000 m2 Arosa Alpine Garden is located at an altitude of 1850 metres. With an impressive variety of alpine plants and habitats, the garden is a true paradise for nature lovers and botanists. With over 400 different plant species, the Arosa Alpine Garden is a highlight at any time of year, making it well worth a visit. Located in Maran, the garden is easily accessible on foot. The Arosa Alpine Garden is also an important centre for botanical research and education. The garden is the alpine test field of the Agroscope research centre. Scientists use the garden to study the adaptation mechanisms of alpine plants and to develop strategies for the conservation of this unique flora.
