Alp Mora

From Trin Dorf you start off on a tarmacked road through the wood up towards Alp Mora. After 5km you pass through the settlement of Maliens and cross the Maliens Stream for the first time. The forest road then steepens to overcome a 300m climb. At an altitude of 1,700m the road continues straight ahead for 1.5km, giving you an opportunity to enjoy the view and gather strength for the final climb to the Tegia Culm at an altitude of 2,250m. From here there is a wonderful view of the Signina Range and the Sa-fien Valley. To return you head to signpost 408 at an altitude of 2,100m. From here you can add a detour to the glacier mills of the Val Malens (mountain walking trail, only partly suitable for cycling). This is particularly rewarding on hot days as the whirlpools create natural basins in which the water warms up beautifully making them perfect for a dip. You return to Trin the same way you came. There are no opportunities to buy food or drink on this tour.
