Alp Mädems Bike

The ascent is mainly in the lower part on wooded gravel roads. The view of the Sarganserland, the Churfirsten and the Alvier chain is breathtaking. From Mädems Vorsäss you can immerse yourself in a wonderful alpine landscape, which leads in an alpine road to Alp Mädems. Cheese and dairy products from the alp can be bought here during the Alpine period.

This is followed by a magnificent high-altitude trail of about 15 minutes before the descent begins. At the beginning it goes along the path over the alpine meadows, later the path becomes narrower and more technical (for experienced bikers, however, almost continuously rideable). The last stretch to the Berghotel Schönhalden offers an incomparable view of the valley. A break in the beautiful mountain hotel with a panoramic terrace should not be missed. For dessert, there is an almost continuous descent on single trails (over 1,000 meters in altitude!), which is a bit technical at first, but then becomes more and more fluid and will delight every biker! (If you prefer an easier descent, just take the road that leads to Flums). From Flums, the route leads along Seez back to Mels.
