Beschreibung

From the village center in Sta. Maria, follow the signpost to Muglin Mall. After the mill we reach the Rombach. The trail winds along the creek upstream. After about 1.5 km, the path turns left and leads out of Valchava. Before the valley road, we turn right over a bridge. Left after the bridge is a mineral spring. Then we continue to the cross-country ski center. The path leads through the plain of Fuldera. After crossing the Rombach, it continues through a riparian forest. After going under the main road, it opens onto a large plain along the river. Then in Tschierv Orasom, we cross the road and follow the Rombach again. Here you can end the route with a refreshing drink on the sunny terrace of Hotel Al Rom.


Those who want can run right up to the old part of the village of Tschierv, cross the village center and follow the small creek to the source area. Here you can cool your feet in the fresh spring water.

From the Sta. Maria post bus stop, follow the path down to the Rombach. From there the trail is clearly marked with signposts 801.

Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel


  • With the Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau, from the upper or lower Engadin) hourly to Zernez

  • Further with the PostBus from Zernez or from Val Müstair and Mals hourly to Sta. Maria, cumün

Anreise Information


  • From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass to Zernez on H27. From Zernez on H28 towards Val Müstair to Sta. Maria, cumün (45 minutes from Vereina south portal)

  • From the east: via Reschen Pass (Nauders) on SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Sta. Maria, cumün.

  • From the south: via Bolzano and Meran on SS40 to Mals. From Mals on SS41 to the Swiss border at Sta. Maria, cumün.
