753 Walserweg Obersaxen

Along the Walserweg Obersaxen you can hike a piece of cultural history and experience nature up close. Some of the more than 20 information boards on the topics accompany you on the nature trail from Giraniga up to the Sassli fireplace. Continue on the 44.5 m long suspension bridge over the Schlettertobel. Crossing the Tobel, about 16 m above the creek bed, becomes a small test of courage for some!

After a short ascent, the unique "panoramic view" awaits you at the Plàmpoort fireplace (1676 m.a.s.l.M.), which invites you to linger and relax. The descent to Miraniga is a walk with a view into the various valleys of the Surselva down to Chur and in the opposite direction to Disentis.

The nature trail reflects the direct interactions between man, nature and landscape with the diverse topics such as animals, plants, fungi, medicinal herbs, flowers, geology and, of course, the life of the Walser then and now.

Keep your distance from cattle and calves. Do not touch under any circumstances.

Attention: There is a suspension bridge to cross, which is about 16 meters above the stream bed.
