The third stage of the Prättigauer Höhenweg leads along the Rätikon chain and is often referred to as the most beautiful section of the long-distance hike.

Well-developed and popular high-altitude trail with ever-changing insights and views into the Prättigau. The path first leads comfortably past the Three Towers and the mighty Drusenfluh. Then the long-distance hike leads a little downhill to the Schweizertor. Along the Kirchlispitzen the path rises again into the heights. On the Cavelljoch you stand directly on the Austrian border and enjoy a beautiful view of the Lünersee. The conclusion of this stage leads downhill over meadows to the Schesaplanahütte SAC.

Sicherheitshinweis
The trail is classified as T2 (mountain hiking) according to the hiking scale SAC. Definition of path / terrain: Path with continuous route and balanced gradients. If marked: white-red-white. Terrain partly steep, risk of falling not excluded. Definition requirement: some surefootedness. Trekking shoes are recommended. Elementary orientation.
Attention for dog owners:
As often seen in Graubünden, there are also several alpine pastures in the Rätikon, which are protected by herd guard dogs. Please note the official recommendations and zones. More information can be found here.
Ausrüstung
Good footwear, mountain hiking clothing adapted to the season (don't forget to change spare laundry!) and a map in your backpack are just as recommended as headgear, sunglasses and cream, water bottle and tour provisions. Touring poles increase sure-footedness and relieve the joints.
Anfahrt
Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
To Landquart with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), then change to the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) in the direction of Davos. Get off in Küblis. Then take the post bus to St. Antönien Rüti.
From St. Antönien Rüti you can use the Bus alpin to Partnun to Partnun
Anreise Information
Take the A13 to Landquart, continue on the B28 to Küblis, then follow Luzeinerstrasse up to the left (northwards) to Pany.
Parken
In St. Antönien, all parking spaces are subject to a fee. In the car parks, you can pay with cash, the Parkingpay app or Twint.
