The world-famous artist Giovanni Segantini once spent the summers in a hut on Alp Tussagn. The original hut has fallen into disrepair and is no longer standing today. From Alp Tussagn, Segantini has painted the pictures "Cows at the Watering Trough" and "Noon in the Alps", among others. In both pictures, the snow-covered mountain range with the peaks Piz Curver and Piz Toissa on the opposite side of the valley can be seen. The painted landscape, however, corresponds only to a limited extent with the real one, since Segantini has changed it considerably by fading out interstitial spaces.

Plang la Curvanera can be reached on Wednesdays from the end of June to mid-October by bike and hiking bus. On Friday afternoons, the bus runs from Plang la Curvanera to Savognin. The bus must be reserved at the tourist office in Savognin by the evening before. Tel. +41 81 659 16 16.
The hiking bus stop is located directly next to the ticket office building of the Savognin mountain railways or behind the Savognin tourist office.

From Chur to Tiefencastel and to Savognin. If you use the hiking bus to get to Plang la Curvanera, it is best to park at the parking lot of the Savognin mountain railways.
