Val Sumvitg Rundtour

The tour leads exclusively on side roads as well as forest and natural roads and is therefore perfect for beginners, the e-bike and gravel bike. From Rabius, head down to the valley and turn right shortly after the Beer SA building. Then take the dirt road to the railway underpass, then turn right and via Marias and Igniu into the side road towards Surrein. In the centre of the village near Giachentrina, the trail zigzags up. A short time later you will reach the side road of Val Sumvitg. After you have crossed the adventurous road tunnel "Barschaus", the valley opens up and you reach the village of Val. We continue in the direction of Tenigerbad, past an old spa hotel. After descending and crossing the young Rein da Sumvitg, you will reach the wildly romantic reservoir Lag da Runcahez. From here you can enjoy the ride on the dirt road and admire the remote and largely natural Val Sumvitg. You will soon reach Alp Val Tenigia, where a fireplace and the river invite you to linger. On the way back to Rabius, you drive out of the valley again. After crossing the dam wall of the Lag da Runcahez, the path continues on the left side of the river to the Tenigerbad. Continue through the tunnel again, always following the side road until you reach the junction to Cumpadials. There you turn right and cross Surrein along the valley floor. After crossing the Rhine, turn left onto the old dirt road towards Rabius. A short break in the nearby Parkigniu with picnic area and bike skill park is highly recommended. Finally, you will walk along the old road up to the starting point in Rabius.
