Piz da las Coluonnas 2960 m ü.M.

From La Veduta:

From La Veduta (2237.9 m) turn left to the south onto the shoulder P. 2449. From here you cross the steep SW flank of Piz da las Coluonnas P. 2451 without much loss of altitude and further steeply up to P. 2633. Now over the rather steep S-spur up into a flat hollow. Here you turn to E and reach the summit via the ridge ridge, which becomes narrower in the upper part. 2.5 hours

Departure: along the ascent route

Descents over the N-flank to Alp Giüglia:

Impressive steep descents through the two N channels, which require safe conditions (30-35° on 350 m ascent, 2 steep steps up to 40°). The departure routes are easily visible from the Julier Pass road. Only for alpine ski tourists.

1. Eastern N channel:
From the summit briefly over the NE ridge until you can cross to the left into the funnel-shaped Kar. Through this down, over a short steep step keeping to the right into a lower lying gully. At its lower end again over a rock step, then keeping to the right now less steep to the pass road at alp Giüglia (2215 m).

2. Western N channel:
From the summit briefly back over the ascent route until you can drive down into the steep, funnel-shaped N-slope, west of P. 2818. In the middle section, a steep step crossed by rock is overcome to the left. East of the rocks, now less steep on a prominent shoulder. The underlying rock step is bypassed on the right, and you reach the pass road at the Julier Pass (2284 m) or the Alp Giüglia (2215 m).
