Kapelle St. Paulus, Val Sumvitg
The chapel with an altar was built by the Capuchins and consecrated on August 30, 1643 in honor of St. Margaret. Alterations and renovations took place in 1695, 1723, 1889, 1927, 1937 and 1996.
Beschreibung
The chapel has a flat strip ceiling and semicircular closed windows. It faces east and is equipped with an open ridge turret with an octagonal pointed helmet. There are three statues on the altar. In the middle is a sculpture of the Mother of God. On the right there is a figure of St. Margaret with the bound dragon and on the left there is a statue of St. James with the pilgrim shells. On the left side of the wall there is a fresco with St. Francis and St. James. On the right wall, Stations of the Cross have been on display for several years, which were donated by canon Rest Giusep Pelican. On the left wall there is a picture depicting the coronation of Mary.
