Centre da Capricorns

The office of the Beverin Nature Park, a regional park of national importance, has also moved into the Centre da Capricorns. The 412 km2 nature park around Piz Beverin encompasses four valleys - a rugged landscape characterised by remoteness and tranquillity - and is home to one of the largest ibex colonies in the Alps. An exhibition in the office provides information about the nature park and the ibex. The Center da Capricorns is also home to the Tourism and Sustainable Development research group of the ZHAW (Zurich University of Applied Sciences). The Graubünden branch of the educational institute from Wädenswil designs and manages service and research projects throughout Switzerland with the aim of revitalising rural areas, creating platforms for exchange, cooperation and innovation and providing impetus for sustainable development. The office of the trail running competence centre zenit.run is also located in the building. For nature lovers, the Center da Capricorns is also the starting point for a wide range of hikes and offers activities such as wildlife watching and crystal hunting.
