Burgruine Moregg, Obersaxen

The castle ruin stands on a rocky spur between two Bachtobeln and was protected backwards by an artificial moat. The ruin is dominated by the remains of a tower that rises to the height of three storeys. Also visible are parts of a shield wall, but no traces of other buildings. Moregg is not mentioned in any document, but at the end of the 15th century one learns something about an estate of the same name. It is believed that the castle belonged to the Lords of Rhäzüns and was abandoned by them when the Walser inhabitants themselves took over the lower jurisdiction.
